System EC

 

 

The EC System, used in all Nilfisk-ALTO ATEX ZONE 22 vacuums, is a single-phase drive system developed with an electronically commutated direct current motor. The motor is electronically controlled, making carbon brushes unnecessary.

Advantages:
• collectorless motor - carbon brushes unnecessary
• easier start
• operation without wear and tear
• no sparks
• life of the motor is approximately 10 times higher than universal collector motors
• free of ignitable sources, therefore suitable for use in ATEX ZONE 22 applications
• with overload protection for motor and electronics
• a real alternative to 3-phase vacuums can be realised in the form of a much smaller and less expensive machine
